Frozen Pipes- How to Prevent This Winter!

Preventing frozen pipes this winter is one of the keys  to preventing a water damage in your home. Here are some tips and tricks to prevent this from happening in your home!

  1. Keep your thermostat at a reasonable temperature! During the day and night keep your thermostat at the same temperature. You need to constantly have warm air circulating to prevent pipes from freezing!
  2. Insulate your pipes especially if have pipes against an exterior wall!
  3. Let faucets drip! If pipes are exposed to cold keep water running at a trickle.
  4. Open Cupboard. If you have any pipes under vanities open up your cupboard doors to let heat circulate and warm up those pipes!
